Drawing Request Show Returns on Twitch!

Drawing Request Show livestream has been on hiatus since its final broadcast in December 2024. Now it returns just in time, to help folks get the drawing and art they need but much more affordable and quicker than traditional commissions. 

The new request stream features a $1=1min, pay what you want format. Supporters can go for a fun and quick one or two-minute doodle, all the way up to a $29 minute drawing. If they pay $30, the drawing will be untimed the sketch will be finished inked as good as I can do. 

Drawing Request Show, in 2025! Streaming weekdays from 1pm to 4pm Eastern Time, drawing any character, emote, or logo or any other prompt requested! Within the Twitch Terms Of Service limitations of course!

Upgrading any request drawing to full-color or finished commission also available as always. These are typically done offline within a few weeks!

Which of these applies is ultimately up to Eryck's discretion:

$15 - Inks, $15  - Colors for simpler character

$30 - Inks, $30 - Colors for detailed/ more complex characters. 

$10 - Inks, $10 - Colors for emotes, cEWtie style characters, subbadges, icons etc

$15 - simple emote animation, $30 - more complicated animation

Every time we hit a Sub, Tip or Bit goal, we'll do a raffle to giveaway a drawing request and spin a wheel to determine how much time it will be for. This can be banked or drawn right away!

The bank will continue, allowing a place to save your support minutes till you're ready to use them. The bank will only last one month since you last added to or taken from it then it expires. Whether you use your minutes or not, thank you for supporting my drawing. Try to support just to support, or when you have a definite drawing in mind to request. Most streams don't even safe support, so I'm willing to hold onto it for up to a month to give you time to decide. Thank you!

Theres been a need for live, instantly gratifying drawing requests customized and drawn for the viewers and supporters who want and need art done. Whether just for the enjoyment, or for their own streams and brands. Its time to get back to slinging sauce.

Character Art: The Grinch Family

The latest addition to the EWG website art gallery features a family portrait inspired by The Grinch. This commission includes a new version of a previous female Grinch, along the original Grinch, a baby Grinch, and their dog Max.

I knew immediately that a bag full of loot had to be slung over a shoulder, and they should be posing around one of the many chimneys they will be breaking and entering through on Christmas Eve. I enjoyed interpreting the original Grinch as a female and creating a baby version too. I think the baby turned out looking even more sinister than parents! Watch out for him! I adhered closely to the existing character models while incorporating my style and preferences.

This artwork was sketched and inked in Inkscape, with colors added in Clip Studio Paint. I provided a transparent background version in case client wants to use it on a shirt or other item, but it is mainly intended be a poster or print.

Today's gallery update is from Metal Matrix (https://www.twitch/metalmatrix). It is one of several graphics created for his gaming channel. This particular piece is features a cartoon of him and his dogs, designed to pop out on screen when he is raging during a heated game moment. An avatar and logo treatment matching this style was also created.

I saw it as, whether he is playing World of Tanks, World of Warships, or any other game, when an opponent causes him to rage, they risk invoking the RAGE RIDER on his flaming motorcycle of rage.

The artwork was sketched and inked in Inkscape with colors added in Clip Studio Paint. It is set up for use on stream overlays and merchandise.

A chibi commission of Skibidi Toilet from YouTube fame. All the rizz.

I remember when I got this chibi request, I had somehow never heard of Skibidi Toilet before. So doing a quick search for reference, and context, I found the first video that started it all and went down a rabbit hole of the 'brain rot' as some call it and its growing universe of characters and story. It's definitely a very random and creative entity that has truly taken on a life of its own. 

The trick to this commission was pushing all the proportions, making them chibi style, but not losing the look and feel and overall design of the character. I think it came out pretty successful. The proportions actually lend well to its maniacal nature. The dirty textures really make it, I think.

Chibi Character: The Terrible Torch

A finished full colored chibi of the diabolical, the fearsome, The Terrible Torch!! An original character that came to life from some random idea in my head and some sketchbook brainstorming. Then did up this digital finished version for warmup / daily practice today. 

Drawn in Inkscape and colored in Clip Studio Paint! Tried a few different things as far as the coloring process/ technique - not using any airbrush/ gradients except the final effects on the fiery parts. I dig it!

Chibi Commission: Meistar Stream Raiders

Today's new addition to my gallery of artwork, in the chibi/ toon section - an epic chibi of Twitch streamer Meistar. She and her loyal sunflower minions are dominating the Stream Raiders battlefield! This was drawn in Inkscape, and colored in Clip Studio Paint during a chibi special offer last year!

I enjoy creating chibis for folks channels, stream personas, original characters, fanart characters or loved ones. You can literally chibi anything: people, robots, creatures, cars, toilets, houses and more. I enjoy the freedom and the overall liberty bestowed in designing and illustrating these types of characters. Its one of the few items I do for people that doesn't get a lot of changes or nit picking in return. These pieces are generally understood to be super stylized and simplified.

I'm told my chibis are very unique compared to the way most artists draw chibis. I think of them as EWGhibis. I do them the way I enjoy the most. I approach my chibis as caricature, and an exaggeration of the elements that defines the character or person. Its an amplification of their uniqueness, and a simplification of the less important. If all I drew for a living was chibis, I'd be perfectly satisfied. They never get old.

Daily Warmup Sketch - Snow Coffee Sippin

The original Inkscape 1.2 sketch

A quick warmup drawing this morning to start the day. I drew it in Inkscape 1.2, on my Samsung Galaxy Book 12 tablet. Inkscape 1.2+ recognizes mobile device touch screen pressure sensitivity with an Spen. So I sketched it out in that for fun. I use Inkscape 0.92.5 for all my heavy lifting on PC, but drawing on this newer version this morning made me think maybe I need to give the newest ( 1.4?) a fair shake. Give myself time to tweak and get used to it maybe it would end up being even better for drawing in? Who knows....

I wasn't happy with the look and feel of the sketch though, so I then took this sketch into ClipStudioPaint on the same tablet and went over it and finished it up. All in all a 30 minute warmup to get the creative juice flowing. Inspired by the below freezing temps outside and snow on the ground, and the fact that I'm still wearing shorts and crocs whenever possible.

A quick warmup sketch in Sketchbook Pro with the Wacom Intuos Pro tablet before working on commissions today. This character is probably inspired off the top of my head by a bushy haired hoodie wearing character from a current commission I am working on. Loosely anyways. I had fun working in Sketchbook Pro for a different experience this morning. Its tools replicate traditional media really well and its ability to get the interface completely out of the way is always priceless to my tablet drawing experience. It is the only program that truly can feel like one big sheet of digital paper to draw on.

So I heard this morning, that 2025, by the Chinese zodiac, is the year of the snake. This inspired me to dig through some past snake drawings and commissions I have done. I found this bad boy. A mascot who was most likely a drawing request during 2019's Drawing Request Show and was then upgraded to full inked and colored art. It was provided for merch and overlay use with a transparent background. Probably looked spiffy on a shirt!
